Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This privacy policy explains how Rab Technologies & Traders LLC ("YallaHajz", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you use the YallaHajz website and service. YallaHajz lets salons, spas, barbershops and similar businesses ("Businesses") take appointment bookings from their customers through WhatsApp.

1. Who is responsible for your information

  • Business account information (the people who sign up for and use YallaHajz on behalf of a Business): Rab Technologies & Traders LLC is responsible for this information.
  • Customer information (people who book appointments with a Business through WhatsApp): the Business decides how this information is used. We process it on the Business's behalf and only to provide the service to that Business.

2. Information we collect

From Businesses and their staff

  • Name, email address, phone number and password (stored in hashed form).
  • Business details such as business name, branches, services, prices, staff names, working hours and treatment rooms.
  • Billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Messages you send us, for example through our contact form or support channels.

From customers who book through WhatsApp

  • WhatsApp phone number and the profile name shown on WhatsApp.
  • Messages exchanged with the Business's booking assistant, including the options you tap.
  • Booking details: service, staff member, date, time, status and booking reference.
  • Language preference and, where the Business offers it, preferences such as staff gender.
  • Whether you agreed to receive promotional messages from the Business.

Collected automatically

  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type and log data when you use our website or panel.
  • Essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the service: show available times, create, change and cancel bookings, and send confirmations and reminders.
  • To let Businesses manage their calendar, staff and customers.
  • To provide support, respond to enquiries and send important service messages.
  • To bill Businesses for their subscription.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use customer information for our own advertising. Promotional messages are only sent on behalf of a Business to customers who have agreed to receive them.

4. WhatsApp and Meta

Messages are sent and received through the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates. Meta processes these messages under its own terms and privacy policy. Each Business connects its own WhatsApp Business account and is responsible for complying with WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run YallaHajz, such as:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) and, where used, an official WhatsApp Business Solution Provider.
  • Cloud hosting and database providers.
  • Email delivery providers.
  • Payment processors.
  • Error monitoring and security tools.

These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or the public.

6. International transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected when it is transferred.

7. How long we keep information

  • Message content: up to 90 days, unless needed longer to resolve a dispute or support request.
  • Booking records: for as long as the Business keeps its account, and up to 12 months after the account is closed, unless the Business asks us to delete them sooner.
  • Billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting laws.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage of access tokens, access controls and regular backups to protect information. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected Businesses of a security incident where required.

9. Your choices and rights

  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information.
  • Customers can stop promotional messages at any time by telling the Business in the chat or contacting us.
  • Customers who want their booking information changed or deleted can contact the Business directly, or contact us and we will pass the request on.

To make a request, email hello@yallahajz.com.

10. Children

Business accounts are for adults acting on behalf of a business. We do not knowingly collect information from children to create accounts.
